# Seeds

> seed_tenant_defaults(tenant, variants, locale) applies the defaults every installed block declares, in install order. The organizations block calls it when an organization is created.

## Install

```bash
npx better-supabase add seeds
```

## Configure

Add the block to `better-supabase.config.ts`:

import { defineConfig } from "better-supabase/config";

export default defineConfig({
  blocks: {
    // Modes: "managed". The default is "managed".
    seeds: { mode: "managed" },
  },
});
```

## Client

The block is SQL only: call its functions from your policies, RPCs and the other modules.
